"ASK - the Lord of the Harvest"

In Luke 10 Jesus sends out 72 of his followers to preach the Gospel to "every town and place where he swas about to go."  God invites followers of Him to be part of sharing his kingdom on earth.

We are called to build relationships, invite others into relationships and share the story of Jesus.  As we were encouraged in this text to pray for people who are yet to know Jesus we are also told to "go" bring this message of "wholeness."

Today take some time to pray for family, friends, work associates and neighbors that God would work in thier lives and that they may experience new life in Christ.

Check out more resources at CovChurch.org72 and even sign up to get a weekly prayer reminder via email.

Paul gets to the heart of how to live out healthy relationships in Galatians 6:1-6.
He uses the images of burdens and loads to share with the church to help people learn the importance of corporate responsibility and personal responsibility as we walk in the Spirit.

Our Corporate Responsibility:
He sums up the call for living in the Spirit as we are told to "carry each other"  by bearing each others burdens.  A "burden" in a the Greek means that it is something too heavy for us to carry by ourselves.  We need others to help us.  We may need to reach out to others to get help. This also means we take time - and energy - to go to our brothers and sisters and help them if they are living in unhealthy ways.  The Goal is restoration with an emphasis on staying close to Christ, so we do not fall into the same temptation.

Our Personal Responsibility:
Paul then encourages us to "carry our own load" so that we can grow in strength and dependence on how God can work in our lives.  This means there are things that God allows us to deal with that are for our growth and we need to bear these things.  We call these loads.  The Greek word for this basically means a "light responsibility."  It may not feel light, but compared to a burden it is something we should be able to manage.

How can you help carry someone's burden?  and-

How can you bear your own Load?
